Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 14 July 2026

These terms govern any quotation, order or work carried out by Red Kite Furniture. Specific project terms will be confirmed in writing at the point of order and, where different, take precedence over these standard terms.

Quotes

All quotes are free of charge and valid for 30 days from the date issued. Where a site survey is required, it is chargeable and takes place after an order is confirmed, with the cost included within the final quote.

Orders

Orders are confirmed once a written acceptance is received. Any project-specific requirements will be stated on your quote.

Lead times

Lead times are estimated in good faith and confirmed at the point of order. We will always keep you informed of progress and flag any factor outside our control (fabric availability, courier delays, site access).

Fabric & materials

We are happy to work with Customer's Own Material (COM/COL). Where a fabric is supplied by the client we cannot take responsibility for its fire-retardancy or long-term performance in a contract setting.

Compliance

All commercial and contract work is manufactured to Crib 5. Domestic work is manufactured to match and cigarette test compliant standards.

Delivery & installation

Delivery and installation are quoted per project and carried out by our own team wherever practical. Suitable access is the responsibility of the client.

Guarantee

All our furniture is guaranteed. Project-specific guarantee terms are confirmed in writing at the point of order. Guarantees do not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, or third-party alterations.

Insurance

We hold £5 million public liability insurance and £5 million employer's liability insurance. Certificates are available on request.

Payment

We accept bank transfer and card payments. Balances are due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. Established commercial clients may apply for invoice/account terms after their first order. Late payment interest may be applied in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
